Hey all! I just finished my first day of classes and wanted to update you all on them! I only had 3 classes today and have 3 more tomorrow.
My first class was at 10 so I didn’t have an early morning today- that’ll be tomorrow with my 8 AM religion. So my first class was Finite Math. My professor is really cool and I really liked him. My class is special because I don’t need a calculator at all. We do all of our computation using a program on the computer and the professor places the days notes online for us to print out and use to study. I also am using a program called WebAssign where I answer questions on the computer and get 5 attempts to get them right and that is how I get graded for homework. The last cool thing about this class is I use a “clicker” to answer in class problems. This means the professor puts up a multiple choice question and I “buzz in” my answer so that I don’t feel like an idiot if I get it wrong and make a fool out of myself in front of people. I really think I’m going to like this class.
My next class was my PE credit. One day a week I have in the gym work out sessions and the other day I have something similar to a high school health class. Today was the in the classroom health type class and we really just went over the schedule and stuff. This class should be ok- it has to be done at some time so I might as well get it over with first.
My last class of the day was Spanish. After not taking Spanish for an entire year I was somehow placed into a higher level language. (I guess I test well.) I’m not really sure how this class will go- it could go either way in the hard or easy department depending on how my professor ends up being. She seemed nice today and spoke mainly in English but when she did use some spanish phrases I had to dig deep to remember them.
Well that was my first day in summary- it was pretty good even though I had to trudge around campus in rain boots with an umbrella in hand- not exactly what I had envisioned for my first day but, oh well.
I have Religion, Presidents Seminar, and English tomorrow so I hope those go as well as today went. I will hopefully get a chance to update yall (yes, my southern roots are popping out) tomorrow on those classes and I hope you all enjoyed reading my little novel.
XOXO,
Bridget

Hooray for the first day of class and even moreso for technology! Technology is so great. That math class sounds awesome. I had a math teacher in college who wore a bow tie and gave apples on the last day of class! Have a blast!
